I am overwhelmed by the number of youth curriculum choices out there. What have you used in the past and how has it worked? I am looking for something consistent and relevant for a small youth group ranging from 6th to 12th grade. I read about BL4Y but would like some opinions before I make the leap to a 6 year program, but I am in no way completely sold on it so any ideas/suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Patti, you are right! There are a ton of options out there! You'll most likely get just as many different opinions on what is good as the number of people that you ask. The truth is that there is a lot of good stuff out there but for something to work for you, you need to figure out what the vision for your youth ministry is. What is your discipleship process? What are the steps involved? What are the programs that fit with the steps? Once you know that stuff, it makes things a whole lot easier to narrow down.

Then, once you've got your list narrowed down then you'll have to look through samples and try to figure out how much you'll have to customize and how much time you'll have to customize the material.

I hope that helps!

BTW: We use XP3 which can be found at http://xp3students.org
